The Heart and Soul of Building Your Band
ABOUT & TEAM
Since its beginning in 2010, David Loftis and his team of worship leaders have been training dozens of young worshippers to populate the stages with backline band players, upfront worship leaders and support roles. This ministry continues once again now as a curriculum which you can use – or we will bring – into your local area.

David Loftis has always lived dangerously close to that dividing line, crossing it so often it’s become blurred. A pastor, composer, vocalist, author, life coach, lifetime worship leader and motivator who loves to share Jesus Christ through the best of his gifts, David also thrives on building people up through the power of Godly, Scripture-soaked sermons and songs that point them to faith, love and hope in Christ.
David started BuildingYourBand Worship Camps in Jamaica in 2010 and has seen over 500 students thrive as lead worshippers in Jamaica and the US during that time on over thirty church stages. He is a certified Somatic Voicework vocal coach, and can play just about anything in the band, specializing in acoustic guitar and keyboards.
David Loftis transcends the traditional labels of pastor and musician. Through his God-given gifts he creates a space where faith and music intertwine offering an uplifting experience that resonates with all. His scripture soaked songs aren’t just music; they’re a journey toward faith, hope and love in Christ, inviting everyone to join in regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.

Peter Bulanow
Peter Bulanow (rhymes with Milano) is a veteran of church hymns and classical piano lessons. Hymn-style piano actually taught me the basics of chord theory, and organ lessons taught me how to play pads without a sustain pedal. Turns out even classical lessons can contribute to playing modern keys!
Seventeen years of piano lessons taught me what to play. I’ve spent most of the time since figuring out what not to play. I’ve also become fascinated with the role of 2nd keys i.e. everything that is not piano and organ – focusing on sounds.
Today I really want to give back to the next generation. I’m a co-administrator of the Apple MainStage Users Group – a healthy and active Facebook group with over 12K members.
You can also connect with me directly on Facebook or at LinkedIn.
Intuitive Keys
I’ve created my own MainStage template I call IntuitiveKeys that I use myself, and make available to others to make us all better live-performing keyboardists. The idea is simple – do a lot of work up front, increment through the sounds, controlling the timbre with mod-wheel and aftertouch.
Pete is far left – playing IK Pro against dedicated Piano and B3
